characteristics of the characters (#3)

Characters enhance a story by by their actions and words and create a plot. It is obviouse that Iago is the antagonist while Cassio, Othello, Roderigo, and desdemona are the protagonists. Iago manipulates theses characters into an intricate web of selfish lies.However, with out the help of the monor characters the story would be lacking. Iago uses minor characters such as his wife, Emilia, to trick Othello and the others. For example, with out Emilia Desdemona's handkerchief would not have ended up with Cassio and if Bionca hadn't been involved with Cassio Othello wouldn't have over heard his conversation and thought it was about Desdamona. These small characters provide the main characters with detail and allow Iago to futher manipulate them.
